KSRelief launches new round of aid distribution among 2000 quake hit families in eastern Afghanistan

MAZAR DARA (AIP): The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) has launched a new round of aid distribution for 2,000 families affected by the recent earthquake in eastern Afghanistan.
The project will be implemented in three provinces.
According to details, on October 1, 2025, the KSRelief, in coordination with the Afghan Red Crescent and with the technical assistance of the Al-Noor Charity Foundation, launched the distribution of tents and other relief items to 2,000 earthquake-affected families.
The opening ceremony of the project was attended by Qamar Gul Nusrat, head of the Afghan Red Crescent’s eastern zone; Mawlawi Abdul Latif Sabit, Kunar provincial official; and Mohammad Hashim Zaheri, advisor to the Afghan Red Crescent.
Officials of the Afghan Red Crescent stated that the project was initially launched in Mazar Dara area of Nurgal district in Kunar province.
In Kunar, 1,400 families, in Dara Noor district of Nangarhar 350 families, and in Laghman province 250 families will receive 2,000 tents, 2,000 kitchen kits, and 10,000 blankets. The project will continue in the coming days according to the planned schedule.
It is worth mentioning that since the earthquake struck, the KSRelief has been providing assistance, delivering food and non-food items to thousands of affected people, and the aid operation is still ongoing. Ends
