Distribution of food assistance among 2000 families started in Baghlan
KUNDUZ: (AIP): The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) started distribution of food support among 2000 families in Baghlan province on Tuesday (November 11).
A ceremony was held at the department of refugees and repatriation in Baghlan’s capital Pule Khumri in this regard today (November 11). The officials of the concerned department, KSRelief and Tauheed organization attended the gathering.
The food package included 50 kilograms of flour, five kilograms of rice, five kilograms of beans, five liters of ghee and 5.5 kilograms of sugar. The assistance would be distributed among 2000 families of returning refugees, internally displaced persons and needy people in Pule Khumri on the basis of a transparent survey.
On the occasion, director of the department of refugees and repatriation of Baghlan, Maulvi Mohammad Ibrahim Omari lauded the KSRelief for the assistance and pledged that the food support would be distributed among deserving families through a transparent process.
It is pertinent to mention here that the food assistance is being distributed under the observation of the ministry of refugees with the financial support of KSRelief, technical help of Tauheed organization.
A part of this assistance has been distributed among returning refugees in Torkham and Herat and earthquake-hit people in the eastern provinces some time ago.
