KSrelief distributes food aid to 1000 families in Laghman
KABUL (AIP): The distribution of humanitarian assistance from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has reached eastern Laghman province, where one thousand families received aid during the month of Ramadan.
A ceremony marking the occasion was attended by Laghman Director of Refugee Affairs Ghulam Rahman Bilal, provincial governor’s office spokesman Qari Abdul Malik Niazi, and officials of the KSrelief.
Speakers at the event stated that one thousand poor, internally displaced, newly returned migrant families, as well as families of widows and orphans from the provincial center Mehtarlam and Alingar district, would benefit from the assistance.
The distributed items included flour, oil, rice, sugar, and beans.
The technical process of distributing the aid is being carried out by the Tawheed Organization.
Officials also noted that since the beginning of Ramadan, the KSrelief has launched a series of aid distributions in several provinces, largely focusing on newly returned migrants who have been forcibly expelled from neighboring countries. Ends
