KUNDUZ (AIP):  Taliban killed a rival commander and detained five others during a clash in Baghlan province, residents said Monday.
The resident Khost District in Baghlan province told Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) that a clash took place between Taliban and armed supporters of Resistance Front in Deh Murad area of the district last night.
During the clash, they said, anti-Taliban commander identified as Wali Jan Ferangi was killed and two more wounded.
Director information and culture in Baghlan Maulvi Mustafa Hashimi, however, said armed robbers wanted to ambush Taliban but their leader was killed and five more detained by the Taliban.
The anti-Taliban Resistance Front has fighters only in the Indrab District. The anti-Taliban militia is led by Ghani Indrabi but it is said his fighters have abandoned their positions due fall of the winter. Ends
